We believe that as agents take over execution, the bottleneck moves upstream — to humans agreeing on what to build. Pre and post coding agents: getting a group of smart, opinionated people aligned on intent will always be one of the hardest yet most valuable parts of shipping great software.

This is not a temporary phase. It's not a gap that better agents will close. The act of deciding what to build, why to build it, and the plan's key requirements will remain a human problem. It requires judgment, taste, context about users, knowledge of the business, and the ability to negotiate tradeoffs across a team of people who each see the problem differently.
